Sheila Ojei is a Writer, Entrepreneur and spoken word poet...

She is from Delta State, Nigeria but grew up mostly in Lagos, Nigeria. At the age of 16, she began her international education journey by studying Spanish in Madrid (Spain), Accounting in St John's University, New York (USA), Master of Arts (MA) in Global Management at Regent's Business School, London (UK) and finally an MBA at the prestigious Trinity College, Dublin (Ireland). After which, she moved back to where she calls home, Lagos, Nigeria.

As a poet, her ability to connect with her audience through her pieces based on what she calls ‘everyday boy girl drama’ has made her one of the most exciting and electrifying spoken word poets to watch. She has been privileged to grace many stages including the Nuyorican in New York, Love is-the musical and also one of the headliners for Finding Home, a spoken word theatre production.

In 2014, she created the blog, Single in Gidi, to document her different experiences of being single in Lagos. Soon it grew into a community of single people in and out of Lagos, living their best lives and accomplishing their dreams regardless of their marital status.

Other than being a writer/poet, she is the Chief Commercial Officer of Covenant Salt Company, an indigenous salt manufacturing company in Nigeria and the Company Director/Co-founder of S & S Creative Media Company.
